2020-2021 School Year

Please note that Mary Butterworth School is full in planned classes in the regular program in Grades 7 to 9 for families outside of the school's attendance area. We are only accepting registrations in the regular program if you are a resident of Edmonton Public Schools and have newly moved into our attendance area after April 15, 2020. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian that is non-Roman Catholic and who resides within the City of Edmonton. Non-resident students may only enroll in another Division school with space remaining in planned classes.

  • Student currently enrolled in an Edmonton Public School:
    • First, make sure Mary Butterworth is your designated school. Use the Find a School tool, enter your address and view results to see your designated schools below. 
    • If you have currently moved into our attendance area, you must provide proof of residency with a date, address and name of parent/guardian listed. 
    • To register, email your proof of residency to the school.
    • Please visit Edmonton Public Schools' Registration Information Web Page for all important information about registering your child. Feel free to contact us and we would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
  • Student new to the Edmonton Public School district:
    • NEW Starting February 2nd, 2021: If your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, you can register for school online. Visit the Division website to learn how to register for school.

2021-2022 School Year

Pre-enrollment starts March 8th and ends April 15th, 2021.

  • Students currently enrolled in an Edmonton Public School will need to pre-enroll on SchoolZone to choose the school you’d like your child to attend next year. Find important dates and deadlines and learn more about pre-enrollment. 
  • Students not enrolled in an Edmonton Public School will have to register online. Visit the Division website to learn how to register for school.

Pre-Advanced Placement Program

What is the Pre-AP Program?  This program is intended for all junior high students who want an academically rigorous and challenging program.  It is appropriate for students who are interested in broadening their intercultural and international perspectives. Learn more here.
